VP Sales

Cheaf is a fast-growing Mexican company focused on reducing food waste and maximizing the sales potential of perishable products in Mexico and Latin America. Our two main products include a marketplace for discounted surplus food and a SAAS solution for retailers. As we expand our footprint both horizontally and vertically, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced VP Sales to lead our sales efforts and establish long-term relationships with major retail chains and food brands in the region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth in both products across our geography.
- Identify, target, and secure contracts with the largest retail chains, foodservice providers, and grocery stores in the region.
- As we grow, build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentorship, and motivation to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the industry, acting as the primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to optimize sales processes, collateral, and product offerings.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to the CEO and COO on sales performance, pipeline development, and market trends.
Qualifications
- Deep experience in sales, preferably in the technology, SaaS, or food retail sectors.
- Proven track record of success in selling complex solutions to large retail chains, including experience in negotiating and closing multi-million dollar deals.
- Strong knowledge of the Latin American retail and foodservice landscape, with existing relationships and contacts in the industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and scale a sales team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with senior-level executives.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable taking ownership of projects and driving them to completion.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is required; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
