Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team in Mexico City. The Sales Manager - Retail will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence within the retail sector, by prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals with national retailers to offer our food waste solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the retail sector to promote our food waste solutions and establish long-term partnerships with national retailers.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets, increase market share, and drive revenue growth.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the retail industry to gain a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Consultative Selling: Utilize a consultative selling approach to understand customer pain points and present tailored solutions that address their unique requirements.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our food waste technology solutions and effectively communicate their value propositions to potential clients.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiation efforts to secure profitable deals and successfully close contracts with retailers.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated with industry trends, competitors' activities, and market dynamics to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Sales Reporting: Regularly provide accurate sales forecasts, progress reports, and sales performance analysis to the management team.


  • Bachelor ́s degree in business management, business development or related.
  • Proven Sales Experience: A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in selling technology solutions within a complex retail operational environment.
  • Strong network within the retail sector at Directors and/or C- Level.
  • Proven sales track record selling technology solutions to retailers
  • Goal-Oriented: Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Can-Do Attitude: A resilient, determined, and proactive approach to overcoming obstacles and achieving results.
  • High Energy and Positive Attitude: Energetic and enthusiastic about driving sales while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Relationship Building Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with potential clients.
  • Self-Motivated: Able to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively to achieve sales goals.
  • Hunger for Success: Motivated by financial incentives and driven to achieve high levels of personal and professional success.
  • Fearless Communicator: Willing to pick up the phone and set up meetings to build and nurture relationships with prospective clients.
